Welcome to Foundation Two

Every day in reception is full of new experiences and learning opportunties. We follow the children's interest and teach the curriculum via activities that children find fun, thought provoking and interesting.

We will use Bramblebank Woods at least once a week to embrace our love of the outdoors and continue to develop our forest skills with the trained support of Mrs Wilson. We will be den making, fire buiding, risk assessing, whittling and hurdling. This will continue throughout the year.

We will use Floorbooks to develop a collaborative approach to our learning. Children will be encouraged to develop sustained shared thinking and will be encouraged to use wonder questions as an approach to learning.

All of the activities are fun, child centred and embrace both the indoor and outdoor environment. Independent challenges and controlled risk taking are encouraged to develop resilience and perservance skills.
