Autumn Term 2018

Welcome to the new school year.

Mrs Sowerby will be your Class Teacher.

Miss Corbin and Miss Bailey are the Early Years Practitioners in the class.

PE days are flexible and PE kits should be left on chidren's pegs.

Bramble Bank Wood day will be a Friday, children should come in warm, appropriate clothing and bring uniform to change into at lunchtime.

We have enjoyed washing the tyres outside and have been digging for insects in the soil.

A Little Nativity

little nativity

We performed the Christmas Nativity Story to the whole school AND to all of our grown ups. We were amazing!

We Will Remember...

We each made our own poppy and decorated a rock, we placed these down and remembered the fallen. It was a powerful moment and the children showed true compassion.

We celebrated "Odd Socks Day"

We all came to school wearing odd socks and celebrated the fact that we are all different but that we all belong together. We had great fun spotting patterns and talking about each others socks!

The children have settled into their new routines quickly.

We have been using the word "Independent" and have been practising being "independent learners"

We have been using knives with control to cut fruit in the snack area, printing with Numicon to help us to count and writing the letters satipn in phonics.

We are looking forward to building and making camp fires in Bramblebank Woods and working together as a class to play new team games.

We have been doing lots of counting and went on a number hunt around the village, we saw numbers everywhere!

We love Christmas!

We had an amazing day at The Pink Pig Farm and guess who we saw?

Party Time!

We love to party and had such a great time with all of our friends.
