Autumn Term 2017

A very warm welcome to all of the children as they join our class.

We have really enjoyed sharing our holiday bags with our friends, we listened carefully to each other in small groups as we shared our holiday experiences.

We have been learning lots and lots of new skills in the various provision areas of the classroom. We have been pouring, spreading and washing up in the snack area and painting and color mixing in the creative area.

We enjoy learning inside and out and explored the natural beauty that Bramblebank Wood offers, we found lots of interesting things including dinosaur beds and fairy houses!

Bramblebank Woods

We love our forest school session on Monday mornings. We have enjoyed mud painting, hunting for dinosaurs, string routes and climbing. If that was not enough, we enjoyed a delicious hot chocolate around the camp fire.

Wood Work

We have really enjoyed using REAL saws in the Wood Work area, we know how to hold them and how to work safely in our new area.

We were very excited when an ambulance car came to visit us on the school field. Ray was a Paramedic Practitioner who told us all about his work; what a very busy and important job he does!

Pink Pig Santa Visit

We went to the Pink Pig on the hunt for a jolly man, wearing red with a white beard, any ideas...

We found Santa and had so much fun, we made reindeer food, counted the hidden elves, enjoyed a tractor ride and had a great day with our grown ups.

Party Time!

After all of our hard work it was time for a party. We had so much fun. We played Pass the Parcel, Musical Statues, Backwards Bumps, The Snowman Game and ended the party with a snowball fight. It was Great fun!

Number Detectives!

We went on a hunt around Keadby to see which numbers we could find in the environment.

We found lots...

We have used lots of different classroom objects to measure everyday things that we find in a classroom.

We decided we wanted to know how long our friends were when they were on the floor.

We decided that paper clips were not a good unit of measure and decided to use lollypop sticks, pipe cleaners or our own feet to measure our friends!

We love Christmas and have enjoyed learning so much with Chrsitmas as a focus. We have been Christmas letter writing, Christmas present shape wrapping and Christmas card delivering in our local community.

Christmas Nativity

We worked so hard to learn lots of new songs and words for our Christmas Nativity. We know that Christians believe that Jesus was a very special baby who was born in Bethlehem.
