Brainwave 'The Art of Learning'

In this unit, we'll be finding out:

  • How to find out facts to prepare for a special challenge
  • How to learn and practise skills for a special challenge
  • How to record how well we are learning
  • How to use what we have learned to create our own special challenge
  • How to wake up our brain
  • How to look after our brain
  • How to design a classroom for learning

Time Travellers

In this unit we will be finding out:

In History, we'll be finding out:

  • Learning how to create a timeline
  • Finding out about events that are important to us
  • Using objects to find out more about an event
  • Learning about important events that happened in our local area
  • Learning about an event by interviewing someone who was there
  • Using different sources to learn about a national event
  • Exploring events of global significance by asking and answeing questions

In International, we'll be finding out:

  • Finding out about different festivals around the world
  • Comparing different types of festival around the world

Roald Dahl

We had great fun dressing up as our favourite Roald Dahl characters to celebrate Roald Dahl day.

A Scarecrows' Wedding

After reading Julia Donaldson's book we decided to learn more about weddings.  We worked together to create our own scarecrows before holding our own wedding celebration at school.
