Spring Term 2016

This term our IPC topic is all about Toys. We will be finding out about toys from the past, how they are made and how they move.

We have already had a wonderful workshop from Scunthorpe Museum where we looked at lots of toys from the past, including toys from Tudor and Victorian times.

We have lots of fun during our Alice in Wonderland themed week.

We made sandwiches for our tea party using careful fraction work. We made clay tea cups and painted them to fit in with the mad Hatter's tea party. We wrote some wonderful setting descriptions too!

As part of our entry point to this topic, we had to use different materials to make our own toys. We worked in our new Kagan Co-operative Learning teams and made some great creations.

We went into Bramblebank Wood for a special bird watching afternoon. It was great fun and we made some wonderful things.
