Summer Term 2019

Year 2 have a very busy term ahead! Keep checking back for updates!

On Monday 29th April, Year 2 had their entry point for our new topic "From A to B".

We talked about all of the modes of transport we knew and why we used different ones.

We looked at the launch of a space rocket and even created our own rockets which we loved!

We haad great fun taking part in the experiment to show how a hot air balloon worked - we were all really excited when the balloon inflated!

We have been looking at the history of transport and have been looking at vehicles from the past and present. We were amazed by some of the ways in which people travelled!

The Titanic

During Literacy we have enjoyed researching all about The Titanic. We found out lots of information about the famous ship and had a great discussion regarding the number of lifeboats and the saying "Women and children first" The children are getting so good at debating with a reasoned argument.

We have been investigating Morse Code and have made our very own circuits that allow us to spell out messages  from different people onboard using dots and dahs!
