Welcome back! We are very happy to be back learning again and what a busy, fun-filled term we have!

Class book- The Great Chocoplot by Chris Callaghan.

Here we are in literacy tasting 4 different types of chocolate. We used our 5 senses for description and came up with some extremely powerful adjectives and verbs in our writing. We had lots of fun - but many of us didn't really enjoy the dark chocolate!

World Book Day on Thursday 2nd March 2017 was extremely exciting for us. As part of our themed Jungle Book week within our topic work, literacy and numeracy, we dressed up as our favourite Jungle Book Characters!

Here we are looking FABULOUS!

In Science, we have been investigating the properties of a chocolate bar wrapper to see which one would be most effective in keeping the chocolate clean, fresh and keeping out scents and other flavours! We tested different materials and found foil was the best.

We have also been looking at the chocolate with the lowest melting point and found it was white chocolate.

We had so much fun doing this!

Here we are below before our FANTASTIC performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! It was a huge success and we are all really proud of ourselves.

On Wednesday 5th April, we visited York Chocolate Museum! We had a fantastic time exploring chocolate over the years as well as participating in a Mayan Civilisation workshop where we even got to make and taste the ancient drink of 'chocolatl'. Some of us loved it and some did not!

Allotment fun!
